From Backcountry Guide to Behind the Lens

Hello! I'm Nick... a small town Oklahoma kid that eventually found himself here in Maine. With a degree in Adventure Education, I spent about a decade as a climbing, backpacking, and paddling guide out West before moving to the northeast in 2018. I’ve mostly traded mountain peaks for camera monitors, but the philosophy remains the same: I pride myself on being the most prepared person on set, with the situational awareness to adapt the moment a creative opportunity arises 

 

I'm very proud to call Scarborough, Maine home, where I operate as a DP, cinematographer, and editor specializing in documentary-style commercial productions. As one of the few DJI Inspire 3 pilots in the Northeast, I also can provide production companies and local brands with 8K aerial cinematography that was previously only possible with a full flight crew. I may have traded the nomad life for the Maine coast, but my passport and Part 107 certification are always ready to travel for the right frame.

 

Whether I’m operating as a one-man band or scaling up with a local crew for a larger brand story, my goal is simple: solve the problems before they happen so we can focus on the art and the story. When I’m not behind the lens or in the edit suite, you’ll find me surfing the Maine coast, on the golf course, or exploring the woods with my wife, my son, and dog Cliff.
